Trainer Jamie: Jamie is a nationally certified NCSF personal trainer and a NESTA certified Lifestyle and Weight Management Specialist. As an amateur athlete, she competes in triathlons, running events, and swims with the U.S. Masters Swim Team. She is also the head coach of a Y swim team. Although her credentials are impressive, it is her personal weight loss journey that attracts people to her as a fitness professional. Four years ago, she wouldn't have dreamed of stepping into a gym. She weighed more than 260 lbs and wore a size 26! At 42, Jamie made the decision to take control of her future. Over the next 3 years, she lost over 115 lbs without surgery or drugs. She accomplished this through exercise, healthy eating habits, and confronting the emotional baggage that contributed to her weight gain. What makes Jamie unique is her personal experience regarding the lifestyle changes needed for lasting success. She understands the constant challenges, tears, and victories involved in weight loss. She exemplifies a real can-do-spirit. She has a passion for helping deconditioned individuals with their own weight loss goals, challenging them to reach beyond what they think they can accomplish.
